1945 degrees

Things have been busy around here. Halloween, family, church, teaching, etc. have all taken priority over pottery. I have made a few things. The kiln is firing right now. You can see the temp I took the picture of. I'm waiting for it to hit 1945 degrees and then it will cool for 8-13 hours and I can open it up. This is a bisque firing, the first firing. This firing gets rid of the moisture in the clay and hardens it. After the pots are cooled I can glaze them and fire them again. I have one more bisque load to do before glazing. By next weekend I should have some more finished work!
