Break time

The trolley square show was extended one weekend. Yea for more exposure! I'm pretty happy with how things have gone. I don't think I'll be in the studio much over Christmas. Unless, of course, the kids drive me crazy and I have to get away.

This is where I'll be this weekend. How about you?

So I'm finally posting some results that I'm happy with. I can tell you what's wrong with each piece and what's right with each piece. Usually the wrongs outnumber the rights. I have to say that on a few pieces from this last firing the rights won!
The two chips and salsa bowls are glazed with blue rutile and turqouise. The mugs - one is in a matte stoney white with blue rutile and the other is in a glaze called old copper. The bowl is turqouise on the outside with a glaze called stormy sun on the inside with the tuqouise layered over the yellow. The casserole is in the matte stoney white. These are a few of the items that will be for sale at the boutique show at Trolley Square this weekend. Yipee!

Or is it brown?

So this is what came out of the kiln. Some pieces came out completely blue. Others were a good mix of blue and brown. While others were mainly brown with a little bit of blue. I have not learned how to control that. Maybe I will figure that out in the next few years.

This is blue

These pots are blue, maybe, I hope anyway. They may look red now but by Wednesday afternoon they should be blue. We'll see what happens.
