Summer's End

So my good intentions the other day got thrown out the window. My friend called and wanted to go on a bike ride. How could I say no when it was such a beautiful warm sunny day and who knows how many opportunities like that am I going to get over the next 8 months. I must admit one of my big distractions with throwing this summer has been my outdoor activities. There is only so much time in a day and only so many days in the summer. It's best to be out as much as possible. But I have not been a complete pottery slacker. I have been doing a little work. Not much but more than nothing.

Cereal bowls and cups. Now that my warm sunny days are numbered, soon to be replaced by chilly winter days it's time to start stocking up on containers that hold body warming goodies - hot oatmeal, hot soups, hot beverages. Next week will be fallish and rainy. I think I'll start filling my containers with all those hot yummies now.
