Here it is, the 13th of July and I feel like I need to catch up on this blog. Summer is just so awesome. Somedays I wish it could be summer all the time. I usually feel that way in the morning when I'm in the backyard picking berries for my breakfast. This morning I think picked the raspberry bushes clean and I don't know if there will be any/enough for my breakfast tomorrow. I almost panicked. I thought about leaving a few berries on the bush just to make sure I'd have some but I couldn't do it. When it comes to berries, I'm really greedy and have a problem rationing them out.

The main thing we've been up to in the last 2 weeks was our super fun annual trip to City of Rocks. This year proved to be another winner. The weather was close to perfect, the climbing was great, and the company was fun! We've been going on this trip with the same family for 9 years now. We realized that this was probably the last time for all 12 of us to go together. I'm sure we'll continue going on this trip but the kids are getting older, school and missions are in the immediate future and it will be probably 4 years before all 12 of us can go together again. Who knows what will happen in 4 years? I can't even guess what will be happening next summer.

Lizard hunting is almost more important than climbing.

No one likes to pose for the jumping pictures but I really love them!

Julia on her way down, Gretchen on her way up.

Another favorite photo for me is Brian throwing the rope down. I take at least one of these each year.

Sam (green shirt) and Syd (blue shirt) on their way up.

All of us on top of what we call "Camp Rock" since it's the outcropping of rocks by our campsite.

My four awesome girls.
