We took a trip to Orlando recently. This was not an amusement park trip. We did that 18 months ago. We explored a few areas previously unknown to us. And, of course, it almost goes without saying, we went to Typhoon Lagoon. It is amazing how much our family loves that water park. I can't imagine traveling all the way to Orlando and not going to there. That would be a sad and incomplete trip. Some of my family came with us on this trip and that was great!
The girls worked diligently on a sand castle and I enjoyed the warm bath water on the Gulf of Mexico. What a treat! There were no waves so that was a no bueno for the girls and body surfing.
Kennedy Space Center was fantastic. We visited this 11 years ago and the girls remember none of it. This visit to KSC was a bit different than the last one since one of the buildings we had previously toured was not open to the public any more and they added the Atlantis space shuttle exhibit. I have a hard time grasping the vast world of space and what it takes to get there. I'm grateful there are others who are willing to figure that all out.
What would trip to the beach (or anywhere for that matter) be without a jumping picture. Brian indulged me and participated for a jump. The waves at this beach were better for us. The water was ever so slightly cooler and body surfing was fun.
The waves at the third beach we went to were the best of all. The water was even cooler than the 2nd beach but still a great temperature.
